PROJECT PARTNER
MACEDONIAN SCIENTIFIC SOCIETY FOR AUTISM
The MSSA has significant experience and expertise in organising activities and in working in conjunction with both academic partners and families in the Republic of Macedonia and beyond. Its membership includes the Republic of Macedonia’s leading academics and practitioners in the field of disability and autism. MSSA has a long tradition in working in EU research projects and building successfully bidding consortia for EU funding in a range of thematic fields of ASD. Part of our success is due to the large network of quality & trusted partners, both in the NGO sector as well as in academia that MSSA maintains at regional and international level.
Since 2000, MSSA has participated in the development and implementation of Erasmus, Leonardo Da Vinchi, COST, Erasmus+ & LLP projects, and other European projects. Moreover, MSSA has successfully organised seminars, conferences for special educators as well as other types of projects. The association has organised more than 20 national and international seminars in the last twenty two (22) years in the area of ASD, Down syndrome, innovation, project management, among others.
Prof. Dr. Vladimir Trajkovski
Prof. Dr. Vladimir Trajkovski is the president and one of the founders of the Macedonian Scientific Association for Autism. For 23 years his preoccupation has been the ASD. He participates in more than 120 seminars, congresses, symposia and conferences in the country and abroad. In the last 3 pandemic years, he organizes and teaches at about 30
Vesna Filipovska
Vesna Filipovska is a special educator and rehabilitator, regularly employed at Vlado Tasevski-Skopje- primary school as a professional associate. Since 2018, she has been appointed as secretary of the Macedonian Scientific Society for Autism, and thus actively involved in working with children and young people with disabilities
Aleksandra Karagirova
Aleksandra Karagirova-Special educator and rehabilitator, neurofeedback therapist, master student on Faculty of Philosophy,Institute for Special Education and Rehabilitation, study program-Autism and Intellectual disability. Active member at Macedonian scientific society for Autism. Owner of 4 private centres in Macedonia, named Center for stimulation, development and growth-STARS.
Ivana Vasilevska Petrovska
MA, vice-president of MSSA. Special Educator and Rehabilitator for 10 years. Trainer and Researcher in the field of Autism and Intellectual Disabilities. Co-founder of Autism Institute. Inclusion coordinator and trainer of educational assistants at Idnina Special School with Resource Center.
